In December of 2017, Congress passed sweeping tax reform into law. Tax season 2019 is the first tax return filing season for 2018 income tax returns that will bear the benefits and burdens of these new tax laws. This William S. Boyd School of Law tax education and outreach program will provide an overview and update of individual income tax provisions focusing on issues that will involve most Nevadans. Real world examples will be presented to highlight traps for the unwary and tips for mitigating tax penalties. Participants will be able to ask questions.
