This seminar is about the importance of a self-regulated profession and the obligation of bar members as annunciated in the Nevada Rule of Professional Conduct 8.3 regarding the duty to report impaired attorneys as discussed by Justice Hardesty. Attorney Kristine Kuzemka will provide an overview of the bar’s two assistance programs, Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers and the Nevada Lawyer Assistance Program (NLAP.) The second portion of this CLE is a close look at the process of what can occur once an attorney is referred to the Office of Bar Counsel as discussed by Dan Hooge, the newly appointed Bar Counsel for the State Bar of Nevada.
